Australian Curriculum: Foundation Learning Sequence - Create Oral Recounts

The Australian Curriculum: English Year Level Description for Foundation states:

"Students engage with a variety of texts for enjoyment. They listen to and view multimodal texts in which the primary purpose is to entertain. These include picture books, rhyming verse and multimodal texts. They participate in shared reading and viewing using a range of literary texts, and recognise the entertaining nature of literature"
In addition it states that:

"Students create a range of imaginative texts including pictorial representations, short statements and recounts."

The Pre Primary learning sequence contained in this post was developed by Pre Primary teacher Wendy Murray from Woodlands PS in our work as a Teacher Development School.

The sequence is linked to The Australian Curriculum - English content descriptions.
