Australian Curriculum: English Year 2 Learning Sequence

Utilising a Variety of Literary Text Types

The Year Two learning sequence contained in this post was developed by Year Two teacher Melissa Martyn from Woodlands PS in our work as a Teacher Development School.

The learning sequence uses the Year Level Descriptions from Year 2 as direction for the types of texts students engage with and create.

Click HERE to download/view the teacher's lesson plan.When you click the link it will open in Google Docs. When that screen opens, click on FILE and then DOWNLOAD. There are 13 pages to the Learning Sequence. The sequence of lessons was addressed over a 7 week period.
